Artist's Comments

so, here's the second piece in my self-imposed series using song lyrics as a basis for an illustration.

ok, i was waiting in line for the bus back to my hometown, and i saw this chick who was totally well put together, all, like, preppy and whatnot, perfectly manicured, high-heeled and all that. but she was eating this big mac, and it was the most disturbingly nasty thing i've ever seen. it's like her mother never taught her table manners... anyway, i thought it'd be a fun thing to draw. this doesn't look like her... just the pose. I based it on the Bright Eyes song "I've Been Eating (for you)"

enjoy

Hahhaha.. Awesome story... Or you hear these well-put together girls on the GO Train talking about sex and how many guys they've been with...When they can't be any older than 16. :( I feel so out of it, cause half of the stuff they talk about, I've never heard of before! Those youngins and their lingo. Not like us OCAD girls who sit around talking about food poisoning and diarrhea.. No sir! lol I still can't believe you've never.. Well, you know.

P.S. I totally adore the colours in this one, especially the skin tone combine with that pink against the green.

THE BANANA MAKES ANOTHER APPEARANCE!

Poop icon to remember good times... Of poop.

If you like preppy girls, go watch them over here. Their probably worse even, cause they're not only incredibly stupid, but they tand to listen to this horrific rave/hardcore music. Terrible stuff...

Great piece though, like the way you used an unusual colorscheme... :) and the banana's a nice touch... :P

"So...what part of "fuck no" don't you understand?"

probably one of the most entertaining comments i've gotten in a while... you caught me with the re-use of the banana... but hey, it's my image, os why shouldn't i use it again?!

see you on monday.

very bright and intense pic- also, the style in which you used is awesome. Very nice creativepiece, fun to look at ( even if the manners are a bit gross, lol) Lovely bg pattern, gives th epiece a very energetic feeling.

Awesome job!

i must say it is one of my fav illustrations i have ever seen here in DA. the colors are amazing.
i like the way you drew her. with that discusting feeling but never losing the elegance [?] on the character design.
the textures in the top make it looks more perfect . so urban.
lovely. sorry for my english.

Sorry for my engrish... it tends to suck..... many time

thank you very much. all of those things you mentioned are all the reasons why i really like this piece. sometimes when you just sit down to draw, it just... happens, and you end up falling in love. that was the case with this piece.
thanks for your comment!
