norse mythology

this is my newest "mythology of death" piece for my thesis. todays feature is Norse mythology. this picture illustrates the valkries. The Norse believed the valkries to take the form of wolves and ravens on the battlefield. they would be the beings who chose the worthiest warriors who died deaths of honour, and would direct them to Valhalla, the "Warrior Heaven".

this is a mixed media piece including (but not limited to) inks, acrylic paints and tissue paper collage.
